Get set up.
Run your first programme.

Follow the steps below, then test the complete journey with a separate participant account.

1. Install Free, then Pro

Back up your site and test on staging. Upload the Free plugin under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and activate it. If using Pro, upload and activate it alongside Free. Use WordPress 6.6+, PHP 8.1+ and MySQL/MariaDB. Select required website pages and review currency/payment instructions in TrainingEZ settings.

2. Publish a test course

Open Courses → Add New Course. Enter a description, dates, times, delivery mode, trainer and venue. Set the fee, capacity and registration policy. For online/hybrid courses, add the joining link when available. Check the public page and register with a separate participant account.

3. Set up email templates and recipients

Review TrainingEZ → Settings → Email Templates. With Pro, edit the available subject/body templates and their personalisation fields. Configure mail/SMTP and verify a real test email. In Manage Participants, use an individual email menu for one person, or Email Participants → choose template → Selected participants / All matching participants → Review & Send. Available templates depend on course timing and recipient eligibility. Enable automatic attendance reminders in the course settings when needed.

4. Prepare a marketing campaign

Organise Contacts using categories, sectors and memberships. Preview CSV imports before confirming. Use Announcements or the contact composer to select recipients, choose a course and exclude existing registrations where appropriate. Review the recipient snapshot and message draft before starting or scheduling. Respect opt-outs and review optional open tracking. Use the flyer designer for shareable course images.

5. Record attendance and prepare certificates

Confirm eligible registrations and record attendance. With Pro, choose the relevant session for multi-session courses. Preparing a physical certificate batch does not mark attendance or issue valid digital certificates. Test QR verification and certificate eligibility with a sample participant before printing a real batch.

6. Check the whole journey

Test registration, account access, import matching, payment records, emails, attendance and certificates before inviting real participants. If messages do not arrive, check communication logs, SMTP and cron; accepted by the server does not mean delivered. Exclude registration/account pages from caching where required. Record exact versions and steps when requesting support.
